Did You Know...
Blue-Surf has a feature that allows you to limit the amount of times a person sees your URL each day!

I’ll be honest with you, if it wasn’t for the fact that I run TEscoop, which is a blog dedicated to Traffic exchanges, I wouldn’t have even joined Traffic Dynamite . I want you to know that this isn’t a rant against Traffic Dynamite . It’s just that this launch exemplifies a problem I’ve been seeing lately, and it prompted me to write about it. The problem I see with the Traffic exchange industry right now is everyone is launching new TE’s with lots of flash and no substance.

The idea of giving away cash for the Gladiator Hits Launch was a nice touch in my opinion. However once one person has a successful launch using a particular method, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Dragon Surf did its relaunch awhile back and it had amazing results because they were giving cash for all referrals. Once everyone saw what Dragon Surf did, I’ve seen several websites launch with the same concept and mild success.

The reason these ideas were successful in the first place is because either no one did them before or no one did it as well. Once someone comes along and copies the same idea, it doesn’t have the same effect. Launches should be big and it’s ok to use another idea, but please add your own twist to make it special. Being unique is what helps a launch become successful in the first place.

The other problem I’m seeing is a lack of value. I’m going to use Traffic Dynamite as an example, but again this is not anything against them. They are giving away $7 to the first 700 people who join, but I’m not interested in joining for cash … I’m there for quality traffic! The $7 is meaningless in the big picture, because I’m using the traffic they provide to help me make money. This $7, while a great incentive, doesn’t assure me in any way that I’m getting good traffic. You know what really gets me excited about a TE launch? It’s knowing that you’ve done something that will make your traffic convert better than others. If you’ve done that, I’ll make a lot more than $7.

Yes, these old giant Traffic exchanges don’t have much that makes them unique, but they deserve their place for being first to the market. We’ve established the industry standards, and now I want to see innovation and value, so that I know you’re willing to invest as much time and effort into your business as I’m willing to put into surfing at your exchange.

I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way, but I think it is something that all Traffic exchange users should be paying attention to before joining a new TE.

Traffic Dynamite just launched today with an exciting promotion, a $7 cash bonus to the first 700 members who join! Owner Rian LeBlanc is a brand new Traffic Exchange owner, but was assisted by Dan Moses who helped with a fantastic Gladiator Hits Launch. Although the Gladiator Hits Launch was met with some criticism, most will agree that the launch was a massive success.

However the intended explosion for Traffic Dynamite has been a fizzle so far, with some people not receiving their confirmation emails. I have received mine though, so hopefully any issues have been resolved.

NewWay2Surf has just added yet another great new feature. Now you can create your own squeeze pages for free inside the member’s area! It also automatically integrates with your favorite autoresponder so you can add them directly to your existing mailing lists.

While creating new features is great, what I really like about NewWay2Surf is that the features they add focus on the thing we should be doing at traffic exchanges - Building our lists!

Steve Ayling’s website, What is a Traffic Exchange will be closing its doors as a downline builder. That means it will still be online, but will no longer function as a downline builder.

Jon Olson’s Hit Exchange News has experienced a hard drive failure, which has resulted in the loss of data for Hit Exchange News, Hit Exchange Blog, and Doctor Traffic. Work is being done to see if the information can be recovered, but at this point we will just have to wait.

In the mean time, Jon Olson has made several announcements:

  • The Hit Exchange Blog will no longer exist and will instead be consolidated into the Hit Exchange News.
  • The future of Hit Exchange 101 is still being decided. It might get a complete overhaul or simply go offline.
  • The Traffic Exchange Guy Consulting service will not be accepting new clients. It will be eventually come back even better than ever.

It’s terrible to see such a huge loss, but hope is not lost and hopefully others can learn from this experience. It’s more than just "back up your data". This is a lesson of working hard in the face of adversity, looking for the positives and solutions in a terrible situation, and the value of relationships.

The outpouring of support for Jon Olson has been tremendous because of all of the relationships he’s built and the people he has helped over the years. Among those people he’s helped is me as well. A business can fail and be rebuilt over again. However true relationships will be there for you when you need support the most. I hope you are all investing the time to build relationships and friendships with new people, it’s hard to succeed in business without it. And most importantly your friendships will be there even if your business vanishes one day.

Please take the time to wish Jon the best and be sure to learn the valuable lessons that this situation can teach us.

The main event for tonight… Intellibanners v.s. Banner Keyring !

Intellibanners sure introduced a great concept that will be a huge help to traffic exchange enthusiasts, a banner rotator. It was certainly a fantastic idea, however Banner Keyring also just went live and are now in an early battle for banner rotator supremacy. A little controversy already seems to be brewing at the NetMarketingForum, with the owner of Intellibanners , Josh Abbott, arguing that Banner Keyring "lacks creativity." You can see the thread at:

http://netmarketingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=18144

I decided to test drive both side by side to see which I thought was better for the customer, you and me!

First, both are nearly identical with their services. Both offer a banner rotator service that allows you to add one simple image and link into all of your traffic exchanges. Then you can manage which banners show at their website from your banner rotator account. Both offer statistics so you can see how well your campaigns run.

The big catch with Intellibanners is that as a free member, 80% of your banner impressions are yours, and 20% goes to upgraded members. You’ll also get to run 3 campaigns with 10 banners each. You can also enter in how often you want each banner to display. If you upgrade at $9.99 / month, 100% of the impressions are yours, plus you’ll get some extra from free members. You’ll also enjoy 10 campaigns with 50 banners each.

Banner Keyring on the other hand, gives all members 100% of their banner impressions. As a free member, you get 3 campaigns with 5 banners each. You don’t get to add as many banners as a free member, but you get 100% of your impressions, which isn’t too bad at all. However you can’t set how often each banner displays. By upgrading at $9.99 / month, you get unlimited campaigns and banners, source-by-source statistics, and can now set the frequency that each banner appears.

As you can see, each has their own benefits. Me personally, I’ll be going with Banner Keyring . I just think it’s a great service even as a free member, and if you need more you can certainly upgrade. Most importantly is that I’m not giving away free impressions to others, every display is mine.

Although you can upgrade at Intellibanners and get extra impressions from free members, I question how many free members will be actively using their service since Banner Keyring gives them 100% of the banner displays. That greatly diminishes the value of the Intellibanners upgrade.

Hopefully that gives you some insight into my thinking behind choosing Banner Keyring , but be sure to look at both so that you can make your own decision!

Traffic Hoopla has recently announced that it has reached 50,000 members. Recognized for being a valuable resource as a downline builder and report on the productiveness of traffic exchanges and safelists. A big congratulations goes out to Traffic Hoopla on this significant accomplishment!

Traffic Hoopla has met some opposition lately though from several traffic exchange owners who question the validity of their testing. Is Traffic Hoopla really altering the outcome for their own benefit? I honestly can’t say they are or aren’t.

Owners certainly have an inside track, knowing detailed statistics about their traffic exchanges. However there are also many other factors to take into consideration, such as how many credits they use, which exchanges they test each week, what ads they use, and more.

As the owner of EliteSafelist, even I have personally benefited from being listed. But quite frankly there are too many unanswered questions for me to say anything negative.

Traffic Hoopla is a powerful force with significant influence on what traffic exchanges and safelists people join. 50,000 members is a significant milestone, and I send them a big congratulations for their accomplishment.

I knew this time would come, but I honestly didn’t expect it so soon. I’ve decided to change the direction of TEscoop. What you’ve seen so far is me report on the daily updates of some of the top rated traffic exchanges on the Internet. Now I want to cover traffic exchanges from a different angle, so that you are truly learning and improving your business on a greater level.

If you’ve seen some of the information being covered at Tim Linden’s Blog or Jon Olson’s Hit Exchange News , this is the type of information that I’d like to share with you as well. I’m not as experienced as them, but I think I bring a fresh perspective and unique ideas to traffic exchanges.

Of course I’ll always deliver the latest scoop and great bonuses being given out because I still get excited every time I see something big happening! :) However it will be less summarizing and a lot more tips, information, and analyzing of the traffic exchange industry.

I hope you’ll enjoy the change of direction here at TEscoop!

To Your Success,
Solomon Huey

P.S. In case you are going to miss those daily updates, I found out someone does a great job of that too! Check out Gina’s TE Corner .
