Trafficera and understandably and deservingly been the hot news in the traffic exchange industry lately. And one of the best and most involving parts of Trafficera is being able to form your own teams. This promotes a more unified group (versus TS25, where your groups change frequently) that works together.

However one thing that is prevailing is people constantly changing teams to get into a better ranked team. An individual might join a team, but while that person is there, they will be scouting to join other teams. And the pattern continues until that person can squeeze themself into the highest ranked team possible. The lack of loyalty being displayed by a few is disheartening, and this act of “team jumping” should be limited so it doesn’t happen as often. I’ve seen it happen with the team I am with, and have heard of it happening to others.

I hope there will be some change, such as a waiting period for joining new teams and/or a penalty for leaving. I understand that sometimes people leave a team for legitimate reasons, such as maybe disagreements with team members or you feel you are carrying the weight. However there should be limits. I don’t believe people should be able to take advantage of the system by securing their place in a team while they scout for another with a higher ranking.

Tim Linden over at StartXchange has added another great feature. You can now rate the pages that you see while surfing. As an incentive to do so, you will get activity points added towards your rankings.

What truly makes this feature great is that you can see how well your peers rate the websites that you are promoting. If the people you are advertising to don’t like your ad, it is vital that you find out so you can improve your pages. If you enjoy surfing at StartXchange, please do others a favor and rate their pages. You will benefit with activity points (which helps your surf ratio) and help someone else at the same time.

For January 31st and Feburary 1st, Hit2Hit is giving out a $10 prize each day. All you have to do is surf 50 pages and you will be entered for a chance to win.

Traffic-Splash and RoyalSurf continue the referral giveaways today. Surf 100 pages at both exchanges and you will get a chance at a free referral. In total there will be 10 winners, 5 from each traffic exchange.

Click Ranch has recently celebrated its 4,000th member. However they are obviously not satisfied with that, and will be changing servers in 2-3 days to accommodate further growth. Expect some downtime during this period.

With the server change, a new design will also be installed. You will just have to wait to see it. Some other notable news at Click Ranch:

• The Startpage now has a timer when it loads, giving more value to the buyers of the startpage.
• Members can now PM their whole downline at once. Previously this was not available due to a bug.

Finally, Click Ranch will be involved in a big contest coming in the middle of February with several other Traffic Exchanges. No news yet on who is participating or how the event will work.

eTraffic Freedom has done a complete makeover with a new design, features, and account settings! Most relaunches don’t feature much except a new design and a lot of hype. To comply with Paypal rules, multiple level downlines have been removed. To compensate for the change, you can earn as much as 15% on your direct referrals’ surfing.

New personalized splash pages should also now be available so that you can brand yourself and promote eTraffic Freedom at the same time.

Although easy to look over, in my opinion the biggest change is the way eTraffic Freedom will use categorized surfing. The categories have been optimized to increase traffic flow to websites in rotation, yet still allow some choice of what types of websites you are viewing.

Blue-Surf has added a feature that I’ve been wanting to see, downline statistics. Now you can see how many pages people in your downline have surfed and the credits you have earned from their efforts. This is a particularly important and necessary feature at Blue-Surf since you earn off of your referrals’ surfing down to 3 levels (free members).

The owner also intends to add the ability to contact your downline, which will be another useful feature for active uplines who wish to run small promotions for their referrals.
