Recently StartXchange has updated their surfbar with a completely brand new look! While I’ll miss the old one, I absolutely love the new additions to the surfbar.
First, the overall look has been changed to match the design of the website, which was changed fairly recently as well.
However what truly stands out is that the StartXchange surfbar now accomplishes two new things:
- It brands the advertiser
- It promotes the "just one more" attitude
How does it do all that you ask?
Now when you surf each page, the surfbar will also display a picture of the person advertising their webpage (or blank image if the user hasn’t added a photo). So if your website is rotating constantly, your picture will also be seen regularly by surfers, giving members stronger branding power. One of the concepts that many traffic exchange owners recommend is branding your name and image, and I can say from personal experience that it is the reason people know who I am today.
The new StartXchange surfbar also makes it hard to stop surfing for those of us who are a little competitive! StartXchange has surfing levels and rankings based on activity. Now every time you surf, you also see the next member who is ranked higher than you are, and how many pages you need to surf to pass them!
I realize this can be a bit hard to understand, so you’ll just have to log in and surf StartXchange to see what I’m talking about.

What if you could offer free upgrades to your downlines at traffic exchanges? Well now you can at one: Swat Traffic !
A new feature has just been added for Captain members at Swat Traffic , which is their highest membership level. It allows you to give up to 3 free upgrades to your downline each month! I rave and rave about a handful of traffic exchanges because… well they have consistently delivered great results for a long time. Well some of the best, have just gotten a whole lot better. Five big name traffic exchanges have teamed up and created the ultimate surfing bonus. The five exchanges are:

Well these five exchanges have collaborated to create the Super Surfer Script! If you surf all five of these traffic exchanges at once (You must surf all of them), then you will get a surfing ratio bonus at all five traffic exchanges! Today AdvertisingKnowHow has just unveiled a few new features that I think are fantastic.
First, they’ve implemented a new surfbar with a hot new design. But what’s really got me excited is that now the person’s website, name, and picture is displayed! Within the surfbar it will display the users name and picture (if they’ve entered one). This allows you to brand youself with ease. I think this is a fantastic feature that will help a lot of people.
Next, AdvertisingKnowHow has integrated twitter into their system! Twitter is basically a micro-blog, which you can even see on the side bar here at TEscoop. By entering in your twitter account information at AdvertisingKnowHow , each day that you go to surf there, a message will automatically be posted to your Twitter account saying you are surfing at AdvertisingKnowHow with your affiliate link! This is another great change, as it helps you advertise and get referrals without having to do any extra work.
And finally, AdvertisingKnowHow has teamed up with 4 other traffic exchanges and created the Super Surfer Script! What is that? I’m actually going to write about it in a separate post, because this is huge for traffic exchange users.

NewWay2Surf has just added yet another great new feature. Now you can create your own squeeze pages for free inside the member’s area! It also automatically integrates with your favorite autoresponder so you can add them directly to your existing mailing lists.
While creating new features is great, what I really like about NewWay2Surf is that the features they add focus on the thing we should be doing at traffic exchanges - Building our lists!

NewWay2Surf has just launched today after a few hiccups during the official launch time. The big selling point and hype behind this new exchange is its hover over surfing feature, making it a “no click” traffic exchange.

So is it all it is cracked up to be? Well I’ve joined, looked around, and did some surfing to see. The big question is if the hover surfing is truly a revolution for traffic exchanges? The way it works is instead of actually having to click on a surfing icon, you can simply put your mouse over it, and after around 1/2 or so, it will automatically detect which link your mouse is hovering over and move you to the next page. This means you don’t have to actually click on your mouse anymore.
I found the experience to be about the same as any Traffic Exchange. I love that the owners are trying to innovate, but I don’t find it to be the revolution in traffic exchanges that some thought it might be. However at the same time, I personally didn’t find it to be a nuisance either, it is simply a “new way to surf”. 
NewWay2Surf also features a built in list builder. You can input your autoresponder information from Aweber, Get Response, or Email Aces and enter your own text ad. These will be rotated around the site and allow you to advertise your mailing lists to all members who are in the member’s area. I find this to be a great idea and I hope that it does help members build their list, because that is what we all should be doing anyway!
There will definitely be varying opinions, so I recommend joining NewWay2Surf and see if it something that you would enjoy. You could possibly love it and there is no hurt in at least giving it a chance!

StartXchange is bringing in a new daily bonus system! For every 100 pages you surf, you will win a random prize. In addition, you can receive up to 10 entries a day (1 entry per 100 pages) for a chance to win a prize. The prizes for each day are 1,000 credits, 750 credits, and 500 credits.
StartXchange has also recently introduced a bidding system where members can bid credits for the Start page of a surfing session and also to have their banner displayed on the header of the member forum!

Major League Hits has added yet another feature, a prize page! Now you can look for the prize page to win more credits, text, and banners.
Tuesday is also the usual Home Run Derby. Bonus credits will be doubled and the surf timer will be 6 seconds! On top of that, the new prize page will appear every 500-600 pages based on the entire Major League Hits member surfing. That means the prize page won’t show based on just your individual surfing, but rather how many other members are surfing as well!
