HitWar has a few announcements today.

First, the surf ratio for free members has been changed from 2:1 to 3:2.

A surfing contest just started today and ends on January, 26th at 5:00 AM EST. The top 5 surfers for the week will win 5 active referrals each!

Plus, today bonus credits are doubled.

With all of these changes, this is a great time to be surfing at HitWar despite its difficulties with its prior referral contest.

It has been announced by Buck King, the owner of HitWar that their referral contest has been canceled.  This is due to a major bug in the script, where for the last 3 days, all members who signed up through a splash page were automatically signed up under the administrator account. This means that members were not being correctly credited for their referrals.

As a result, the referral contest has to be halted until they discover what is causing this error.

Note: Unfortunately I just received the newsletter by email today, which is 3 days late. The newsletter was published on January 7th, 2008.
ILoveHits has announced its first contest in awhile, a referral contest! You have 7 days to refer as many members as possible, and the person with the most referrals wins. The prize?

Jon Olson, the owner of ILoveHits, doesn’t say specifically what the prize is, but he mentions ILoveHits products, credits, and more. It looks like you will either have to wait or win to find out the prize.
