Ok, well you can’t win that much, but you could still win a plenty! Trafficera is celebrating its 20,000th member in only 4 months! This is an incredible feat for any traffic exchange, and accomplishing it in 4 months is a record that probably won’t be broken for a very long time.

Starting today, May 24th, Trafficera will give random prizes for active running campaigns for 7 days. 500 random active campaigns will be chosen each day and they will duplicate the campaign and give you 1000 credits! However if you are an upgraded member, your prize will be 10,000 credits instead.

Trafficera says that it is now receiving 1 million hits a day to its website. This truly puts it into an elite category as one of the most active websites on the Internet today. Trafficera has announced that it has gotten a new look to celebrate its amazing growth!

Although Trafficera took the time to announce it, I personally haven’t found the new design to be very compelling or much of a change at all. However hopefully the change will bring about better results for affiliates who are actively promoting Trafficera.

It’s been a wild ride for Trafficera thus far, with their launch being surrounded with tons of hype and lots of criticisms.

One of the biggest problems so far has been the issue of members surfing over 12 hours per day in order to win weekly competitions and super clocks. Some of the heaviest surfers have even admitted to trading surfing shifts with trusted people in order to stay ahead of the competition. This has resulted in a dilution of quality in the traffic being delivered because many of these power surfers are supposedly not looking at ads.

Trafficera has taken a step in the right direction now, by limiting the amount of PV a member can earn from surfing to 5,000 PV every 24 hours. The time will reset every day at 3:00 P.M. PST. Also, team surfing PV has also been limited to 400,000 per team, meaning that teams made up of power surfers will need to refer and sponsor other members in order to earn additional team PV.

Super Clocks will also be reduced in order to give more teams the chance to compete for prizes. The Super Clocks were being set too high, resulting in only teams with power surfers having a realistic chance of winning.

Finally, if a member joins a team after a new week has started, the said team will earn a pro-rated contribution of that member’s efforts for the week. Current team members can also no longer be booted in the final 72 hours of the current week.

There has been no mention of when these changes will take place, or if they are already in effect. Although the Trafficera update implied these changes are currently in effect, I have yet to see a reduced Super Clock since the e-mail update.

These are some great changes that many members have been asking for. Hopefully it will level the playing field and allow more teams to compete in a friendly, fair environment at Trafficera.

I’ve noticed recently that some people aren’t sure what the best choice is for buying Trafficera tokens. Some argue that buying surf and bonus multipliers are the way to go. While others say you should buy credits. I boldly declare that they are both right! However the choice mainly lies with how often you surf. Here is an example to illustrate why surfing affects your decision. Warning: This includes some math, hopefully it doesn’t bore you too much!

I am currently a platinum member at Trafficera, which means I earn 1 credit for every second that I surf. If you are not upgraded, this will be less. If I buy a 50% surf multiplier for 1000 tokens, I can earn a maximum 5,400 credits per hour with the multiplier (excluding bonuses). This is also assuming that you surf perfectly, non-stop for 1 hour.

Looking at the marketplace right now, I can purchase 6,600 credits for 700 tokens. That means if I only had time to surf for 1 hour, buying the 50% multiplier is too expensive. I would get more credits by buying the 6,600 credits, plus save time by not having to surf.

This because when you buy 6,600 credits for 700 tokens, you get 9.43 credits per token. In order to make the 50% surf multiplier the same value as buying 6,600 credits, you would have to surf 9,429 seconds or a little over 2.6 hours! To make the 50% surf multiplier an even better deal, you would want to surf significantly more than that.

Unfortunately this does require a little math to figure out what is best for you, so hopefully that thought doesn’t scare you. :) These numbers will change based on the prices you are looking at. But if you know you don’t have much time to surf, in most cases using those valuable tokens to buy credits is probably the wiser choice.

Hopefully this helps you in deciding what to do with those hard earned Trafficera tokens!

Trafficera started off their launch with a huge bang. It grew to 12,000 members in only its first month, had plenty of controversy, and ultimately great success after 1 month of going live.

It is now thanking members who are upgraded starting on March 1st. If you are an upgraded member by then, you will receive credit bonuses for 10 consecutive days for being an upgraded member!

If you were upgraded before February 1st, you will receive double the loyalty reward you originally received. For example, if you were a platinum member before February 1st, you earned 5,000 loyalty points. For March 1st, that would double to 10,000 credits for your loyalty bonus. This reward is for March 1st only.

For the next 9 days, all upgraded Trafficera members will receive 2,000 credits each of those 9 days. If you are upgraded before March 1st, you will be receiving 28,000 – 18,000 bonus credits for those 10 days.

Soaring4Traffic is handing out credits in bunches this weekend. Surfers are treated to triple bonus credits for the entire weekend. Plus, every time you answer the verification question right, you are given another 20 credits!

Don’t forget that Soaring4Traffic is also giving out 10 credits every time they find you advertising Soaring4Traffic at Trafficera once the surfing begins.

Jan 24

That’s right, you can win 1 million credits at Trafficera! That is the top prize for the team with the highest PV. It’s important to note that this prize is for 1 million time credits, divided between the winning team members.

Since these are time credits, your team will not get 1 million page views, but rather 1 million seconds of view time. Be sure to read the tutorials at Trafficera if this doesn’t quite make sense.

Trafficera has announced they will be doing upgrades today at 3:00 P.M. PST. As stated in their e-mail update, you will get the following for upgrading:

1) higher surf ratio
2) bonus credits every month through our loyalty program
3) ability to promote more websites in the surf network
4) earn a higher PV from surfing and referring which helps in the member ranks and also helps your team!
5) huge discounts when you purchase traffic (will more than pay for the membership fee)
6) ability to become a splash page publisher and earn a lot of credits from your own website
7) more credits for promoting your “splash” referral link
8) and the list goes on and on … (refer to the membership options table and other info on the site)

Also, if you upgrade within 48 hours, you will get additional bonus credits as well! A Gold upgrade will net you 2,500 credits, and a Platinum upgrade gets 5,000 credits. The prices for each membership is steep compared to most traffic exchanges:

  • Gold: $19.99/month
  • Platinum: $29.99/month
  • Club: $49.99/month  (This option is by invite only)

However the biggest reason to upgrade is that the first week of ranks will be based on how early you upgrade. The higher your position, the more tokens you can earn to use in the marketplace. Member ranks will normally be based on your PV, however upgrading early will give you a great position for the first week only.

Don’t forget to upgrade early at Trafficera if you planned to do it, it appears there are some great incentives to do so.

Jan 23

Soaring4Traffic has just created a new splash page designed specifically to use on Trafficera.

Soaring4Traffic is also making a fantastic incentive to promote it when surfing begins on January 27th, 3:00 P.M. PST. If the owner sees you promoting Soaring4Traffic, you will get 10 credits to your account every time he sees it! This bonus includes Soaring4Traffic splash pages or any that you create by yourself. This promotion will last at least a week or perhaps longer.

Jan 22

Trafficera announced earlier today that upgrades will not be available yet due to technical difficulties.

The Trafficera has been surrounded by a lot of hype and controversy since its launch day, being late on its launch time, referral links not working with frames, other issues, and now the upgrade situation.

On a more positive note, smaller (and some unannounced) changes are making Trafficera increasingly user friendly. Group starters are able to report inappropriate posts that do not relate to the group and a function added to delete messages from your mailbox. Spam has definitely been an issue, with some members spamming in every group and sending advertisement messages to members. Offenders can be punished and their accounts potentially removed.

Hopefully the issue with spam does not become a problem at Trafficera, which would become a huge detriment to the social networking concept it builds on.
